Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. won ton wrappers, square or round
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cover baking sheets with foil and spray lightly with olive oil spray.
  3. Take each won ton wrapper and fold it into a shape – paper airplanes are popular, as well as simple triangles, pleated fans, pointed hat shapes or complex stars, depending on age (your children are amazing with what they come up with!)  Check the web for simple origami instructions.
  4. Set completed shapes on baking sheets, in a single layer.
  5. Spray lightly with more cooking spray, and sprinkle on salt and pepper.
  6. Bake until crisp and golden, 7-9 minutes – watch closely!  You can rotate pans halfway through baking to bake most evenly.
  7. Cool on baking sheets, and transfer to a platter.  These are wonderful when warm, and especially good with our Seven Layer Dip (see post.)

More Information

You can also sprinkle these with a sugar and cinnamon mixture to make them a sweet snack.
