So simple, so rewarding, so cute. For this recipe, something really ordinary takes on a new character.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 – 1 cup grapes, any color or mixed, pulled off their stems
  • 1/4 cup lowfat yogurt, plain or flavored, or 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • Whole cloves

Instructions

  1. Cut the banana in half. From the stem end (top), cut a slit about 1.5 inches into the tip where you would normally peel the banana. Place one grape in the slit, which forms the dolphin’s mouth holding a ball.
  2. Put the yogurt or cream cheese in the bottom of a bowl or cup and anchor the cut side of the banana. Put lots of grapes around the dolphin.
  3. Push two whole cloves to the sides of the dolphin’s “head” to make its eyes.  Remind your kids NOT to eat the cloves.
  4. Done!
