So simple, so rewarding, so cute.
For this recipe, something really ordinary takes on a new character.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 – 1 cup grapes, any color or mixed, pulled off their stems
- 1/4 cup lowfat yogurt, plain or flavored, or 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- Whole cloves
Instructions
- Cut the banana in half. From the stem end (top), cut a slit about 1.5 inches into the tip where you would normally peel the banana. Place one grape in the slit, which forms the dolphin’s mouth holding a ball.
- Put the yogurt or cream cheese in the bottom of a bowl or cup and anchor the cut side of the banana. Put lots of grapes around the dolphin.
- Push two whole cloves to the sides of the dolphin’s “head” to make its eyes. Remind your kids NOT to eat the cloves.
- Done!
